Frozen Meaty Treats
One of the easiest treats you could make for your dog is to freeze up some meat with gravy and chop up into small pieces and pop into the freezer. Most dogs love the taste of meat, and the ice helps to bring down their temperature.
You will need:
- a stock cube,
- some warm water,
- some very small pieces of cooked chicken, turkey, or lamb.
Dissolve the stock cube in the water, and pour into an ice cube tray, add very small pieces of meat, and freeze.
These treats will last for up to six months in the freezer, and can be given to your dog directly from the tray. These are ideal for helping to cool your dog in the summer. There are many varieties of frozen dog treats – you can even add some greens.
