Continuing our series of Tuesday Treat recipes, your dogs will love this week’s applesauce and cheddar biscuits, courtesy of Janine Adams from  ‘You Bake ’em Dog Biscuits.’ If you missed last week’s recipe, here’s a link:

  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup parmesan

Pre-heat oven to 350 F or 175 c. Combine the cheddar cheese, applesauce and water in a small bowl. Pour the applesauce and cheese mixture into the dry ingredients and mix. Knead into a dough and turn out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese. Cut with cookie cutters and bake for 20 minutes or until the cookies have turned golden brown
