Tips to Celebrate Spring!

Spring is a time of balance, cleansing, and renewal. In many traditions Spring is celebrated as a time of fertility, regeneration and rebirth. Here are my tips on how you can celebrate in your own, personal way.

1.  Change

Start off with an intention for change. What is it in your life that you really do want to change? Make your decision and then symbolise this in a number of ways. You can plant a seed to symbolise new beginnings and your new intentions, such as they do in Italy. You can also think about ending any behaviours or relationships you want to put behind you. But make it your intention – and stick to it.

2.  Celebration

Join in with a Spring Equinox celebration local to you – there are many spiritual celebrations happening today and over the next week or so.

3.  Detox

Start a detox and deep cleanse your body from the inside. A detox is a process in which a person makes lifestyle changes to clear their body of toxins. If you’ve never tried one, this is the perfect time to try one out.

4.  Cleansing

Cleanse your energy with a Chakra massage or yoga class. Focus on your new intentions (deep inhales) while exhaling old thought patterns.

5.  Spring Clean

Spring clean your house, or even just a room in your house. Cleaning your space is symbolic to cleaning your energy. If you clear away your clutter, you help to clear your mind. The ritual of spring cleaning removes any negative energy accumulated over the winter months. By clearing away the clutter, you leave the space wide open for the positive growing energy of spring and summer.
