Camping with your Canine:
5 Reasons why a training camp is for you…

Training Camps are super awesome fun. We have come up with 5 reasons why a training camp is something you should seriously think about.

1.   Focus

Most of the time we spend perhaps an hour a week at a training class, so attending a camp gives you that true luxury of spending lots of time to focus on your training. Camps are the perfect way for you to really hone particular skills, really getting to the nitty gritty of your training, unpicking what your training needs really are.

2.   Get away from it all

Lots of our students view their time spent training their dog as way of escaping pressures of day to day living. Taking part in a camp will give you plenty of chance for that! Our lives can sometimes be so jammed packed full and things can get a little stressful. Attending a camp with your four pawed friend really has that ‘live for the moment’ feel. You can leave your worries at home and immerse yourself in your training.

3.   Meet new friends

So what have we all got in common? We all love our dogs and we all have a huge passion for them, ensuring they are happy and healthy is our number one priority. Attending a training camp will open up new doors in finding new friends. People travel from far and wide and many a new friendship has be struck up at a camp. At camp there is most certainly a team feel, with everyone supporting and helping each other. In fact, this is one of the best things about training camps!

4.   Think outside the box

Keen to try something new? There is no one size fits all when it comes to dog training and training camps will give you opportunity to try something new and different. Experiment! If it works, brilliant, if it doesn’t, tick it off of the ‘you have tried it’ list. If you have reached a point in your training journey where things have become stagnant and ‘samey’ then a training camp is the perfect remedy to re-ignite your drive and passion.

5.   Your Training & Competition Goals

Are you ready to feel inspired and refreshed?  Attending a camp will provide you with new ideas and ways to progress with your training. Have you got goals to reach? Attending camp can really help solidify your training action plan. You will come away with a detailed and focussed plan of action. Get fired up and raring to go, you can achieve those goals!
