Friday Favourites – Reading on Holiday

Here at Bowerland we love reading, especially when we’re on holiday or if it’s a rainy day. When you come to stay here we’re sure you’ll love cosying up in front of the fireplace at our cottages with a good book.

Everyone has their favourite genre. Mine is fantasy – I love reading about adventures and quests, massive detailed worlds, huge battles and different character races.

What’s your favourite book to read?

My favourite series of books I have read is called ‘The Inheritance Cycle,’ by Christopher Paolini, although it is also sometimes known by the first book in the series – ‘Eragon’. It’s a series revolving around a 16-year old boy named Eragon who discovers an egg which eventually hatches into a dragon (Saphira) who Eragon must raise and eventually ride.

What I particularly like about the book is the slow pace and the high number of pages – perfect for when you’re on holiday and need to relax!

What about you, do you have a favourite hobby or activity to do when the weather is bad? I would love to hear from you. Post your comments below. Why don’t you share this with your friends and family by clicking the Facebook icon? Or try following us on Twitter?
