To Do Lists & Personal Planning for 2017
Last week I talked about my January To Do list. I mentioned that I had set out my plan for the rest of the year. The topics I had focused on were:
- Creative Writing
- Healthy Living
- Appreciation of Music
Well, I am so pleased with myself, I have made a great start already. I have come on in leaps and bounds. To be honest, I have had a bit of a break-through. The main reason is that after a lot of procrastination and wasted time, I have found a practical space I can use. This space has always been there, but I just hadn’t thought of it before.
Throughout 2o16 I had made excuses to myself, and to my friends and family, that I couldn’t really get on with any of my personal ambitions and goals because I didn’t have anywhere ‘quiet’ that I could use. I didn’t have anywhere that I could go to in order to be on my own. I wanted somewhere that I wouldn’t be disturbed or interrupted.
Well, I hadn’t been thinking properly, or thinking out of the box. I had just considered places in my own house, and in my own garden. I can’t even say that it was me that thought of the solution to my problem. It was some great lateral thinking from someone close to me who is very sensible and practical.
So here I am, in my private space, writing my very first creative writing essay. And listening to my Headspace meditation on my iPad. Next time I come here (which should be tomorrow if my plan is working) I will find a suitable Spotify playlist to provide some music as well. That should tick off 3 topics all in one go!
My ambition is that I come to this space every day. 10 minutes meditating, and 30 minutes writing, whilst listening to some great background music. Well, that is my aim anyway – let’s see how I get on.
The next thing for me to tackle is the Healthy Living plan. I will be looking at that next week, hoping for inspiration and motivation.
