Parsley Basil Bites from Kelly’s Kitchen

This week’s recipe is a herby one! Did you know that parsley and basil help to freshen your dog’s breath? They are also a source of flavonoids, antioxidants, vitamins, lycopene and carotenes.

  • 100g Parsley
  • 100g basil
  • 300g flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Jug of water (to use as needed)

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius
  2. Pop the parsley and basil into a blender, add a splash of water and blitz until the herbs are finely blended
  3. In a large bowl, add the flour and cinnamon and mix
  4. Add the herb mix to the flour mix and combine, adding water as you go to form a dough
  5. Knead into a dough and bring out onto a floured surface
  6. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness
  7. use a cookie cutter to make your biscuits and pop onto a pre-greased tray
  8. Pop in the oven and bake for 35 mins
  9. Once cooled, put the parsley and basil bites into a sealed container
