Parminter Walk, Exmouth
Start & Finish: A la Ronde, Summer Lane, Exmouth, Devon, EX8 5BD (Map)

Delight in wildflowers, butterflies and birdsong on this 30-40 minute walk following in the footsteps of Jane and Mary Parminter, the two cousins who built A La Ronde. The property is an 18th-century 16-sided house located near Lympstone in Devon, with fascinating interior decoration and collections. And it’s only 40 minutes away from us here at Bowerland.

Directions:

  • Start your walk from the car park follow the path to the shop and visitor reception. There’s no charge to enter the grounds of A la Ronde.
  • Follow along the perimeter of the meadow, take a breath and enjoy the beautiful wildflowers and wildlife.
  • Enjoy the panoramic view from the Centenary Obelisk.
  • Finish your walk back at the car park and then stop and enjoy some refreshments.

Temporary Closure

Due to the covid-19 restrictions, A La Ronde is temporarily closed. The National Trust are currently working on plans to gradually re-open their properties. For updates, check their website HERE.
