Ollie’s Dog Intensive Training Holiday
Margaret and I had a great time at Bowerland with Ollie, our 3 year old Cockerpoo. We arrived on 5th November and stayed in the Annexe until 9th November. As we travelled from Northumberland, which is about a 9 hour drive, we decided to stop overnight in the Cotswolds on the way there, and then in the Peak District on the way home.
Ollie was brilliant, and settled well despite the long travel and 2 different hotels, thanks to the training we have already done through Absolute Dogs.
We had the Intensive training package of 10 hours of 1 to 1 training. Michelle, our trainer, was very knowledgeable and really easy to work with, and very patient with us. We learned a lot, and now have some great strategies for helping Ollie to cope with and hopefully overcome his fears. We also learned a lot about ourselves.
We didn’t get to see a great deal of Devon because of the weather, but the Annexe was very cosy with everything we needed. Indeed, we enjoyed it so much we have already booked up again for next year.
About the author: My name is Derek Catchpole and I live in Northumberland with my wife Margaret and our Cockerpoo, Ollie. I am a semi retired civil servant, and Margaret is retired. We are so glad we found Absolute Dogs at the beginning of the year as Ollie is noise phobic and we really didn’t know how to help him. Now we are seeing real progress and are delighted.
