Ollie & Derek’s Boost Training 🙂
This was our second visit to Bowerland, travelling from Northumberland, for a training holiday with Ollie, our Cockapoo. This time we stayed in the Old Dairy from 12th July to 19th July.
The accommodation was really nice, cosy and comfortable, with everything you might need. The enclosed secure garden is great for both humans and dogs. Bowerland is ideally located on the edge of Dartmoor, so it is a great base for exploring all that Devon and Cornwall have to offer.
Okehampton is nearby with lots of shops and supermarkets for supplies, and there are numerous dog friendly pubs nearby if you feel like eating out.
Boost package – 5 hours of 121 training
We were lucky enough to get to work with Michelle again, but all of the Devon Dogs trainers are excellent. They all make you feel at ease, which makes training fun and interesting for you and your dog. Although the Boost package was for Ollie, Michelle also boosted our optimism as she was able to give us loads of ideas and strategies to move Ollie’s training on as we had become stuck in a bit of a rut.
World Class Facilities
The training facilities, as well as the trainers, at Devon Dogs are definitely world class, with a huge barn, 3 fields and all the equipment you could ever need. We are looking forward to arranging our next visit in 2020.
About the Author: I am a semi retired civil servant and Margaret, my wife is retired. We have been dog owners for most of our lives, but Ollie has certainly taught us more about dog behaviour and made us learn more about about how dogs learn than any previous dog we have had due to his fear of noises, which Devon Dogs and Absolute Dogs have helped us to help him start to overcome his fears.
