What makes life work for you?  What do you do in order to lead a rich and fulfilling life? We are all of us so very different and we each have our own level of priorities on what is important to us. For some of us it is about being true to ourselves. Being authentic. For others it is about appreciating the smaller things in life that so often are taken for granted. Stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things can open up a whole new world as well.

Life is short, too short, and sometimes we realise only too late the things that are really important. Do you ever take time out to listen to your own thoughts, your desires, your wants? Or do you have a self-criticising monkey on your shoulder, stopping you?  Learn to say Yes to yourself, you deserve it!

Most of us seem to want to be continually busy, to feel important to others, and to sometimes be a martyr to the greater cause. But is this really the best way to live? Being continually on the go, and responding to the beck and call of others in your life, can also be quite destructive for your own peace of mind.

When was the last time you did anything for yourself? Did what you wanted to do, and not what you felt others wanted you to do? Sometimes it is the most simplest things in life that give us the most pleasure. Saying Yes to yourself. For example, one way of looking after you, is by making sure you take enough rest and relaxation.

It has been proven that scheduling in a daily rest is really beneficial to your health. By giving yourself a time to rest, even for just a half an hour during the day, you also allow your body to release your creativity. To give you time to ponder over the issues that are currently draining your energies. Resting up and giving yourself time away from your busy day, helps to make you happier, healthier and more focused.

So, be kind to yourself, live in a way that is right for you. Look after your health, your passions, and appreciate what you have got.
