Time – how to rethink your time management strategies
Time is one of the most precious resources we have in life. And believe it or not, time is much more important than wealth and happiness. If you think about it, without time you aren’t able to spend the money you have. You also won’t be able to enjoy the experiences that make you happy.
It is really hard to put into practice time management techniques. We have all read about them, and some of us have even been on courses to learn how to manage time properly! But can we stick to them? If you are anything like me, you start off with good intentions, but somewhere along the way you get distracted and go off the rails.
So one suggestion is to rethink how you focus on time.
Most of us feel some sort of stress on a regular basis. One of the main reasons for this stress is that we don’t have enough time to do everything we want to do. And particularly if we want to do these things properly. When you’re feeling this stress, it is because you are frustrated about the specific demands of what you have on your plate in the current moment.
We can easily feel overwhelmed and once that happens, we immediately become less efficient.
How to solve it? The best solution involves totally turning around your ideas on Time Management. Don’t just simply focus on trying to fit everything in. But change your mindset. Change your focus, which in turn helps you to manage your energy.
Focus on the future and what will be the best outcome. That way you will gain the energy and resources you need to progress in the particular moment. Even you might not have any immediate resources to gain from it, you will instantly change your state of mind. Which in turn enables you to feel more efficient. Ultimately this helps you to progress in what was before a frustrating situation.
Keep a look out next week for more ways to harness and master your time.
