Frozen Meaty Treats

Meaty treats are one of the easiest treats you could make for your dog. Just freeze up some meat with gravy, chop up into small pieces and pop into the freezer. Most dogs love the taste of meat, and the ice helps to bring down their temperature.

You will need:

  • a stock cube
  • some warm water
  • some very small pieces of cooked chicken, turkey, or lamb
  • you can even add some greens.

Method:

  1. Dissolve the stock cube in the water,
  2. Pour into an ice cube tray,
  3. Add very small pieces of meat, and greens if desired
  4. Freeze

These treats will last for up to six months in the freezer, and can be given to your dog directly from the tray. These are also ideal for helping to cool your dog in the summer. There are many varieties of frozen dog treats, so this is an extremely versatile recipe. 🙂
