Katie & Willow’s Trip to Bowerland
My name is Katie. I am a part-time primary school teacher and live in the London borough of Bromley with my husband, 2 children and our 1½ year old miniature labradoodle. We found Absolute Dogs at the beginning of the first lockdown when all the puppy classes were cancelled. I had no idea how to train my new puppy. So I loved the positive games based approach to training, which was very different to my one and only puppy class, and haven’t looked back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Bowerland Barns
The view from the kitchen window in the Dartmoor Inn Barn filled my soul every morning whatever the weather! Our stay was mainly about attending the 5 day Activity Break being run by Devon Dogs. It was excellent and was everything that I hoped it would be.
All the trainers are just wonderful
The trainers are really helpful, with an eye for detail to help you spot what you need to do to achieve your goals. I was really lucky to squeeze in a few hours of 121 training, which helped to boost my confidence and work on those ideals that I have set for myself and Willow.
In our spare time we managed to squeeze in as much of what Devon’s countryside has to offer. A couple of moorland walks up to a various rocky outcrops for my daughter to climb; a walk around Meldon reservoir; a stream paddle and clamber at Meldon quarry. Plus we had a wet and wild visit to Westward Ho beach! Hands down it was the best 50th birthday present. Thank you to everyone at Devon Dogs who made our stay so lovely.
