Helen, Eddie & Tog’s Intensive 121
I am writing to say thank you to the team at Devon Dogs and to our trainer, Becky. This time last year I was in despair, trying to deal with two naughty two-year old Labrador x collies. Both of them were serial chasers, reactive, run-off merchants, and I was tearing my hair out.
10 Hour 121 Intensive
Luckily I was recommended Devon Dogs by a (very kind) complete stranger I met whilst walking my unruly duo (or rather trying to walk them!). I realised that this was something I COULD do to change things and I booked for a 10 hour Intensive 121 last October. Everything was really well managed. Information arrived in a timely manner with clear instructions on preparation, what to bring and what to do on arrival. The office staff were very helpful and courteous – no questions were too much trouble.
On arrival there was a warm welcome from my lovely trainer for the two days, Becky. She was warm and friendly and immediately put me at my ease. I felt that she understood me and my dogs and there was no judgement on the awful behaviour of my lovable rogue. The two days’ training were revelatory. The picture above is Eddie fast asleep, snoring upside-down (as you do) after a morning session at Devon Dogs
I’ve just completed two more sessions, and once again I’ve learned so much. I also realised (with a bit of a shock) just how far my dogs have come! Becky is a wonderful teacher – calm, kind, encouraging and so knowledgeable. She clearly understand dogs – and humans! She has a great sense of humour and infinite patience.
Skills, Confidence and Inspiration
At the end I left with a clear plan for the future, and also with the skills, confidence and belief that I finally had some solutions. I resolved to follow the plan no matter what! I had always planned to come back for more sessions but sadly Covid restrictions meant that I couldn’t until now.
Once again I’ve been inspired, and I am now planning to start monthly lessons. I can’t wait! Thank you – Bowerland is an amazing place and you are truly making a difference. I now believe that me and my dogs can go into the future with optimism.
