Bring out your inner ape and and take part in an adrenaline-fuelled day at the Go Ape! tree top adventure course at Haldon Forest, near Exeter. This is an obstacle course set up high in the trees, truly not for the faint-hearted or those with a fear of heights! Starting at a height of over 14 metres, you’ll have to climb up into the trees to begin the course (don’t worry, you’ll be clipped into safety harnesses).

Once you’re up in the trees along the course you can expect to find zip wires, tarzan swings, rope ladders and a variety of other obstacles and crossings. If you’re attempting the adult version of the course, you can expect this to take 2-3 hours to complete. There is also a junior version of the course too for any little ones.

Google Maps calculates the journey from Bowerland Cottage Holidays/Devon Dogs to Go Ape! at just over 30 mins via the A30. If you’re staying with us this year it’s the perfect day out on any of days when you’ve got a break from dog training.

Why not combine your visit with a half day in Exeter city centre itself, which has plenty of shopping opportunities and restaurants to eat at? Alternatively, you could spend more time at the centre and take part in one of their many other activities, such as riding a segway, or exploring the nearby area yourself.
