South Molton is a thriving North Devon market town, situated on the River Mole. It is a lovely little market town, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. One of the main attractions is the Quince Honey Farm, which is well worth a visit.  And you can bring along the children, they will really enjoy it, no matter what their age. There are indoor and outdoor play areas for them. You can also take your dogs – they are also welcome. On arrival you are given a pack of things to do for the children, to keep them amused and entertained. The honey tasting is really delicious! You can even learn about keeping bees, make sure you see the interesting and informative bee keeping session.

Don’t forget the Pannier Market, which is on every Thursday and Saturday morning. There are stalls selling lovely fresh fruit and veg, home-made cakes, fresh bread, delicious olives, unusual cheeses, plants, cards and all kinds of bric-a-brac. It is a really friendly lovely little local market, you can even bring your dog with you. Stop for a welcome cuppa and a bite to eat.

Whilst you are there you should visit the South Molton Museum. This quaint little Museum provides you with the history of the area and tools of the time. There are many other items in the Museum that are very old and very interesting. This is certainly a place to stop at if you like history and want to get a feel for what South Molton and area is all about.
