Honiton is a lovely bustling market town, close to the River Otter, the A30 and the A35. Therefore it is really easy for you to find and access. It is on the gateway to Devon, close to the National Parks, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Also you are bound to find many fantastic shops, cafes and antique centres to visit. In times gone past it was famous for its pottery, and for its lace making.
Honiton is a wonderful place to potter around, because there are some really lovely shops and cafes. Also, try to make sure you go on one of its weekly market days. These are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in the centre of the town. There is an abundance of antique shops to look at; therefore, many, many must-have items to spend your money on. You will find it hard to come away from Honiton without purchasing something, as there is so much choice.
Make sure you stop for lunch. There are a range of different cafes and restaurants and I am sure you will find one that appeals to you. I love it at Honiton, and will gladly while away the hours, mooching around the shops, and taking time out for tea breaks! Visit the Honiton website for more details of events and places to visit.
