Exeter Chocolate Festival by Chris Green
When: 25th November 2018
Where: Exeter Phoenix
Time: 11:30am – 6:00pm
This is the first ever Exeter Chocolate Festival taking place at Exeter Phoenix in the city centre. This is literally a couple of minutes from Exeter Central train station, or 10 minutes walk from the bus station – perfect for a day trip if you’re staying with us, or happen to live nearby!
The idea of the festival is to celebrate good quality chocolate, and promote bean to bar chocolate from ethically sourced products. The day will also promote local chocolatiers from the South West.
It is a day being organised by a lady called Nicola, who is certified with the International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting – very much a chocolate expert and someone who is very passionate about it!
On the day there are a huge variety of activities taking place, including:
- Exhibitor stalls – loads and loads of local chocolate producers will be in attendance to showcase their best chocolate products
- Chocolate tastings
- Demonstrations – learn how to make your own chocolate with a chocolate making demo from the Exeter Cookery School
- Cacao ceremony – come and drink the ancient cacao medicine and experience the heart opening, loving, gentle and powerful Spirit of Cacao.
- Kids workshops – loads of fun activities, including chocolate lolly decorating workshops
- Prize draw
The event is free entry, and looks set to be a lot of fun!
