Bowerland Barns 1 & 2
Both studio apartments are suitable for up to 2 people and 2 dogs. If you are bringing more than 2 dogs please book the Old Dairy as it has a larger garden and conservatory area, which is more suitable for multiple dogs. The approach to the studios is via Bowerland Lane, where you can park right outside your studio barn in the space allocated for you. Step out of your car and you will find there is a paved patio to the front of the barn with hanging baskets at the door.
Both studios are available either on a 3-night stay (from a Friday to Monday), or a 4-night stay (from a Monday to Friday); and you can even book for 7 nights if you want to and stay from either a Monday or a Friday. Training is included in the cost of your stay. Simply choose how many nights you want and we have carefully selected your training programme in relation to your stay. You can choose the training issues you would like to work on. We ask you to complete a training assessment form before you arrive. This will help the trainers to know which training exercises would work best for you.

Bowerland Barns are light and airy studio apartments with high ceilings. Each studio is a self-contained, open-plan living room/bedroom area that sleeps two with a double size bed with drawers. There are 2 bedside cabinets with an atmospheric salt lamp to greet you on your arrival. Bedding and towels are provided at no extra cost. You’ll also find tea bags, coffee, sugar and basic cleaning materials.
The studios have a fully functioning kitchen area, with a range of kitchen cupboards. You can use the kitchen to cook your meals or visit one of the many local pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. For details, please download our local Eating Out Guide. Okehampton town centre is only 4 miles away, with supermarkets (including Waitrose) and other shops.
Wi-Fi and a large flat screen TV with stand and free view is included, as well as underfloor central heating. There is a solid wooden dining table with 2 chairs for you to enjoy sitting and relaxing after your training sessions.
The wet room offers you a wonderful shower experience, with a cosy warm radiator, a beautiful traditional Burlington toilet, as well as a matching classic sink and cupboard. There are also Neal Yard toiletries supplied for use during your stay.
The one thing the studios do not have yet is an enclosed garden. It is important you are happy with taking your dog out on lead, around the grass in front and to the side of the barns cottages or taking them off site for walking of which there is an abundance. And also you when you come to have your training on site. The Barns are set in a field, but the field is currently being harrowed, so it isn’t great walking territory; however, there are areas to take dogs for toileting.
