Crispy Courgettes from Kelly’s Garden

Are you having a glut of courgettes right now?! Did you know that they make great dog treats? We find that dogs like them more when they have either been dehydrated or baked in the oven.

Here’s what we do:

  1. Top and tail the courgette
  2. Thinly slice lengthways
  3. Layout out in the dehydrator and set the timer for 12 hours.
  4. They may need more time, depending on the dehydrator. You want them nice and crunchy.
  5. Store in an air tight container

If you don’t have a dehydrator you can oven bake the courgettes on a very low heat until they are crispy.

You can give them to your dog as a tasty snack and they are very low in calories too! Win win!  Check out more of our Tuesday Treats recipes HERE.
